Magnetic Sensing Unit (MSU)
The AHR150A-2 Magnetic Sensing Unit (MSU) functions both as part of Archangel’s Air Data Attitude Heading Reference System (ADAHRS) or as a standalone unit. Weighing only 0.5 lbs, the AHR150A-2 provides three axis magnetic field measurements with a resolution below 100 µGauss at a band width of 10 Hz, enabling heading accuracies down to 0.2°.
Output rates up to 100 Hz are available on an RS422 buss. Field calibration routines with a user friendly GUI are provided which run on ordinary PC’s or laptops and do not require any other equipment.
All software in the MSU is DO178b, Level A. The hardware is certified to high levels of vibration and shock as well as -2000 ft to 50,000 ft altitude.
