The management team at Archangel Systems has a combined industry experience of over 130 years. Under its leadership, Archangel has grown from "one man and his computer" to a sophisticated producer of inertial-sensing technology. Read below to meet some of the managers who have helped to move Archangel Systems forward.

Michael Greene, Ph.D.

Chairman and CEO

As Chairman and CEO of Archangel Systems, Dr. Michael Greene oversees the strategic planning for Archangel. In that capacity, he directs the management team in the implementation of strategies that will enhance the company's competitive position as one of the leading developers of Inertial Sensing Technology in the world. Michael founded the company in 1992 to develop advanced instrumentation systems for the aerospace sector.

Michael holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Rice University. He was a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Auburn University for over 20 years and has published over 100 technical papers. He is a Senior Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers) and Life AdCom member of the Industrial Electronics Society. He is also an instrument rated pilot. When he is not flying his Malibu Mirage, Michael enjoys snow skiing and historic preservation.

Katherine Greene, Ph.D.

President and CFO

Katherine (Kitty) Greene is President and CFO of Archangel Systems. Responsible for contract management, accounting, export control, and human resources, Kitty has been with the company since March 1996. Before working at Archangel Systems, Kitty was a Professor in the Psychology & Education Departments at Auburn University. She also has over 10 years of experience managing various programs and research projects for the State of Alabama.

Kitty holds a doctorate degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Alabama. When she is not working, Kitty spends her time traveling, gardening, cooking, exercising, and restoring her 100+ year old house.

Bill Dillard

Director of Sales and Marketing

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Bill is a Master's graduate of Auburn University’s Electrical Engineering department and has published over 30 technical publications. He joined Archangel Systems in 2005 as Associate Director of Engineering, transitioned to Director of Emerging Technology in 2010, then to Director of Sales and Marketing in 2016.

Melissa Perdomo

Director of Quality

Melissa Perdomo is the Director of Quality of Archangel Systems. In her current role, Melissa serves as the Quality Representative in charge of ISO 9001-2008 compliance. She is also a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) working with the FAA Manufacturing Inspection District Office (MIDO). Melissa has held various quality positions at Archangel since May 2011, including Quality Specialist III and Assistant Director of Quality.

Prior to her career with Archangel, Melissa had 13 years experience in Risk Management. She worked for six years with Overland Solutions as a Field Consultant/Inspector. In this position she evaluated organizational and technical issues to control loss exposure. She also consulted with clients regarding public safety and worker’s compensation issues and compliance with local national fire and building codes. Melissa has also been employed at FARA Risk Control Services and Heti Risk Management Consulting performing risk management and quality functions.

Victor Trent

Director of Engineering

As Director of Engineering, Victor Trent has the pleasure of working closely with over 25 extremely talented engineering professionals and being part of the management team at Archangel Systems. Victor, who has an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering is actively involved in several exciting projects at Archangel: projects that include Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) sensor development, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) hardware and software development (commercial and military applications), IMU/GPS interfacing, as well as IMU development and implementation for automotive systems. Additionally, Victor is interested in the development of evolutionary algorithms for optimal state estimation.

Bob Caudle

Director of Production and Repair

Bob joined Archangel Systems in September 2008, bringing 34+ years of experience in avionics repair and installations. He is responsible for all new unit production; all units returned from the field for service; test fixture and cabling development and maintenance; new product proto-type build and assembly; circuit board build, test, & process control; FAA Repair Station development and management; and maintenance of all production ISO9001 documents. Leveraging his directing and technical skills, Bob and his team of technicians also assist the engineering team in testing of existing or new product designs and certification testing.

Bob started his career with four years of service in the United States Air Force maintaining Doppler / Inertial Navigations systems installed in Boeing 707 airframes and performing bench repairs. He then spent 10 years maintaining Weather Radar, Auto Flight, Communication, and Navigation systems at Cessna Service Facility, supporting everything from single engine to light jet aircraft. After his time at Cessna, Bob enjoyed 15 years of self employment providing avionics and systems (e.g., engine, fuel, hydraulic, flight control, and pneumatic) installations to builders of experimental class aircraft.
